Trees Keep the Berm Stabilised!

The following photos were taken yesterday (24.08.2019) in Geneva, along the river called ARVE. It is a beautiful place. The greenery along the river is astonishing. Trees along the river do have many advantages. The first and most important usage is, it keeps the river channel in the same course always (fixed course) as trees minimize erosion.Hence the berm stays intact always. Bank stabilization! It is important to minimize recurrent course change. It is a fact that a seasonal increase in the flow regime may cause a permanent change to the river course. Additionally, it is beautiful to walk and enjoy the scenic beauty of the landscape and the trees, Natural beauty! Tourist attractions! I enjoyed it!
